Creating this Valentine's themed photoshoot was a dream with a fantastic team of like-minded individuals taking my more is more brief of pink, red and all things valentines to the next level. I took the opportunity to try the shutter drag technique in a studio context, I usually reserve it for the wedding dance floor but love the way it adds dimension to a fashion image. Capturing the glittery jewellery and diamanté. We bought 3 interpretations of the modern valentine — from a sleek modern woman to the head over heels sweetheart and an edgy anti-valentines look for the scorned lover.

On a warm Wellington day, I set off to capture a special new range for one of my foundational clients, Liv Jordan from LILA by Liv. Her new gifting and homewares range is every bit as lush as the LILA clothing range. Soft earthy tones, natural fibres and all customisable to suit you or the lucky recipient. As with every good shoot, we wrapped the day with snacks — a few too many pieces of ginger crunch were consumed to celebrate.
